We seek a skilled and passionate User Researcher to join our dynamic team, focused on developing and enhancing our voice-based productivity app. As a User Researcher, you will play a critical role in understanding our users' needs, behaviors, and preferences to drive the development of intuitive and user-friendly features. Your expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods will be invaluable in informing our product strategy and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Conduct primary research: Plan, execute, and analyze user research studies to gain insights into user needs, motivations, and behaviors related to our voice-based productivity app.
Employ quantitative methods: Utilize Outcome Driven Innovation (ODI) techniques and other quantitative research methods to measure user satisfaction, identify pain points, and track user engagement and retention metrics.
Conduct user interviews: Design and conduct user interviews to gather qualitative data, uncover user preferences, and identify usability issues and opportunities for improvement.
Analyze and synthesize data: Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data collected from user research activities, and distill key findings to provide actionable recommendations for product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure research insights are effectively integrated into product development cycles.
Develop user personas: Create and refine user personas based on research findings to facilitate a user-centered design approach and ensure product features align with user needs.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging research methodologies to continuously enhance the user research process and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
Qualifications
Experience in user research: Minimum of X years of experience in conducting user research for digital products, preferably in the mobile app or voice-based application domain.
Proficiency in quantitative research methods: Demonstrated experience in applying quantitative research methods such as Outcome Driven Innovation (ODI) or similar frameworks to drive product insights and decision-making.
Strong qualitative research skills: Proven expertise in conducting user interviews, usability testing, and other qualitative research methods to gather rich insights and uncover user preferences.
Analytical mindset: Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, draw meaningful conclusions, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for product improvements.
Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate research findings, present insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
User-centric mindset: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating products that meet user needs and enhance user experience.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline is preferred.
We create tools that help people communicate and organize their everyday lives. Our software enables task-focused communication and is intended for use in small groups. Our current product is an iOS app that features several embedded machine-learning algorithms. We plan to add other gateways to the platform soon. Our office is located in Berlin. We're flexible about remote and hybrid work arrangements.
